Luca Aggio was born on 29 July 1969 in Udine. After completing his studies, he decided to join his father in the family business, starting to work as an iron craftsman. Over the years, his interest in the material he forged every day for work began to transcend into a new dimension, combining the skills of a craftsman with the creativity of an artist and his inner need to “Create Beyond”: beyond the everyday, beyond the commissioned product, beyond the contingent, to begin exploring and expressing an inner world made up of different materials that interpenetrate, combine and colour, giving life to true works of art thanks to the technical expertise refined over the years and put at the service of creativity. His mastery of colour is also instinctive and original, evoking the artist's most intimate sensibility.

Aggio says: ‘I started this journey of mine about ten years ago, attracted by the shapes and colours of the “waste” materials from my work, and I realised their great potential. Iron, aluminium, wood, colour... they are a source of inspiration for me and at the same time a liberation of my innermost self.’

The exhibition is organised by the Club per l'UNESCO di Udine in collaboration with the Civic Museums of Udine and LILT Lega Italiana per la Lotta ai tumori. The event is sponsored by Paron Casa arredo4you, Filling Station Motel Udine and FVG Rent.
