The new ‘Project room’ of Casa Cavazzini - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Udine) opens its doors to the first solo exhibition in Friuli Venezia Giulia of the Silvia Infranco (Belluno, 1982-), represented by Galleria Marignana Arte, entitled Trame organiche (Organic Wefts, Ed.).
This is the second episode of Future Life, a project developed and promoted by the Museum, which envisages the realisation of a series of exhibitions dedicated to the work of artists representative of the contemporary creative scene called upon to measure themselves against themes of the utmost topicality and against representations of renewed and possible future scenarios.
The exhibition, open from 4 July to 7 September 2025, offers a broad overview of Infranco's work thanks to a careful selection of works that represent some of the most significant outcomes of her research in recent years.
Silvia Infranco's artistic work constantly measures and confronts issues related to memory and the passage of time; through practices based on the reiteration of gesture, with an almost liturgical and therapeutic value, the artist works on processes of accumulation, stratification and sedimentation. The use of natural pigments, ferrous oxides, wood and paper, protected and consolidated by wax, gives his works a purely organic visual and material consistency that recalls the cyclical nature that transforms and renews everything. The result is embodied by works of art that from time to time return new images to the eye, stories and writings that surface in delicate yet evocative textures with a strongly symbolic value. The exhibition Trame organiche, therefore, is an invitation to enter a space where time slows down and thickens and the artwork itself becomes a place of meditation and healing.
